Defense / Support

Nia

ECC: REDLINE Athlete

Nia, also called Nya in earlier coverage, is a defensive support character built around protecting teammates, restoring health, and improving revives.

Where Morningstar focuses on mobile healing and autonomous revivals, Nia provides a protected area that can help a squad stabilize during combat.

The kit

Nia’s abilities

Core Ability

Home Turf Defense

Nia deploys a shield generator that creates a spherical defensive dome.

The dome blocks bullets traveling in either direction:

  • Enemy players outside cannot shoot through it.
  • Players inside cannot shoot outward through the shield.

The playtest ability description identifies the shield as indestructible.

Allies inside the dome also use healing items faster, helping the team recover while protected from external gunfire.

The two-way blocking mechanic is especially important. Nia's dome is a defensive tool, not a one-way firing position.

Tactical Ability

Vitality Sync

Nia restores HP for herself and nearby teammates.

The ability also temporarily strengthens skill-based healing effects and provides a movement-speed bonus.

This allows Nia to support multiple squad members rather than focusing exclusively on one teammate.

Passive Skill

Intermission Rescue

Nia revives teammates faster.

Players revived by Nia also recover additional health and immediately begin regenerating their armor.

This gives revived teammates a stronger starting point when returning to combat, although it does not establish that they become invulnerable during the revive.

How to play Nia

Nia is designed for situations where survival and recovery are more important than immediate damage output.

Her dome can interrupt incoming gunfire and give teammates an opportunity to heal or revive, while Vitality Sync provides additional recovery.

However, the shield's biggest limitation is that bullets cannot pass through it in either direction.

That makes Nia very different from Hotspot, whose barrier allows players to fire outward.

Players should also distinguish Nia's healing abilities from the game's broader automatic armor regeneration system, which is explained in our ECC: REDLINE armor guide.
