Hotspot, known as 热点 (Redian) or Damian Cybertron, is a street-sports personality and parkour specialist.
Despite his movement-oriented background, the October 15 beta kit combines defensive cover, enemy disruption, and passive mobility benefits.
The kit
Core Ability
Hotspot deploys a one-way defensive barrier with 200 HP in the playtest build.
The barrier blocks incoming gunfire from the protected direction while allowing Hotspot and his teammates to shoot outward.
The barrier and its generator can be destroyed.
Unlike Nia's dome, Bulwark allows a squad to maintain offensive pressure while receiving protection from incoming shots.
Tactical Ability
Hotspot throws a concussion grenade that detonates immediately when it hits a wall.
The explosion disorients nearby enemies and briefly reduces their movement speed.
This provides a way to disrupt opponents before pushing through a doorway or into a contested position.
Passive Skill
Hotspot's parkour training improves his slide control and grants damage reduction while moving at high speed.
The damage-reduction effect is tied to movement conditions rather than being a permanent defensive bonus.
Hotspot combines aggressive positioning with temporary protection.
Bulwark can help a team contest a firing lane, while Shocking Arrival provides an opportunity to disorient opponents before entering a fight.
His passive also rewards movement, distinguishing him from a purely stationary defensive character.
One important limitation is that Bulwark's protection is directional and has a finite HP pool. Opponents may still attack from an unprotected angle or destroy the barrier.
