Cookie Policy

Browser storage, analytics, external media and privacy controls on Aim Sector.

Last updated:

Essential storage

The first-party localStorage entry aimsector-privacy-v2 records your analytics and external-media choices, version and expiry. It is valid for 180 days and can be replaced through Privacy preferences. Editorial login uses Supabase authentication cookies named sb-…-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered chunks; their lifetime and refresh are managed by the authenticated session. Reading public articles does not require editorial login. Hosting or anti-abuse services may also apply necessary security controls.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is an optional, cookie-free analytics service. It uses request-derived daily identifiers and aggregate usage data rather than cross-site advertising cookies. The script and custom article-view events are disabled until you allow analytics. See the Privacy Policy for the distinction between analytics identifiers and hosting logs.

Google Analytics cookies

After analytics consent, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_<stream> cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. Our tag configures cookie expiry to 180 days; expiry can be renewed on visits. These cookies are separate from Vercel’s cookie-free analytics. Rejecting analytics blocks the Google tag, and withdrawing consent attempts to remove its first-party _ga cookies. Browser restrictions may affect cookie availability. A new provider requires a fresh privacy choice; older saved choices do not enable Google Analytics.

External content

X / Twitter widgets are disabled until external media is allowed. Once loaded, X may set or read its own identifiers under its policies; cookie names and lifetimes can vary with your account and browser. FormSubmit and its Google reCAPTCHA checks are reached when you submit the contact form. Their storage is controlled by those services. This release does not load an AdSense advertising script.

Change your choices

Use Privacy preferences in the footer to accept, reject or choose analytics and external media separately. Withdrawing an enabled choice reloads the page to stop scripts already loaded. This prevents future optional loads but cannot undo data already sent. You can also clear third-party cookies in your browser. If browser storage is unavailable, optional features stay off; changing devices or clearing storage requires a new choice.
