ECC: REDLINE Athlete
Morningstar, known as 晨星 (Chenxing) or Celine Steiner, is a biathlon athlete whose kit focuses on combat healing, team buffs, and reviving downed squadmates.
She provides a combination of recovery and offensive support rather than relying on healing alone.
The kit
Core Ability
Morningstar releases a pulse that improves weapon handling and mobility for herself and nearby allies.
The ability also grants temporary bonus armor, improving the squad's protection during an engagement.
Its combination of offensive and defensive benefits makes it suitable for coordinated attacks or situations where multiple teammates are fighting close together.
Tactical Ability
Morningstar deploys a healing drone called Bonnie.
Bonnie follows Morningstar or a selected teammate and continuously restores HP.
Because the drone provides healing automatically, it allows the player receiving support to continue participating in combat while recovering health.
Passive Skill
When reviving a downed teammate, Bonnie can perform the revival automatically.
This allows Morningstar to move and use her weapon instead of remaining occupied with the entire revive interaction.
It is one of the most significant support mechanics documented in the beta, because it reduces the usual trade-off between reviving a teammate and continuing to defend the squad.
Morningstar's greatest value comes from keeping teammates in the fight.
Her healing drone supports players taking damage, Hormone Pulse improves the squad's combat capabilities, and her passive makes revives less disruptive to the team's fighting ability.
A squad can potentially combine her buffs with another Athlete's offensive abilities to push an opposing position while maintaining access to healing.
Morningstar is especially worth considering for coordinated four-player teams that expect to take repeated engagements.
