Blade

ECC: REDLINE Athlete

Blade, also referred to as Blank or Kite in different prerelease materials, is a mobility-oriented offensive Athlete.

Her kit combines an explosive projectile with a fast dash and wall-jumping movement.

Unlike Feather, whose mobility also benefits teammates, Blade's movement abilities are primarily focused on individual positioning and combat.

The kit

Blade’s abilities

Core Ability

Thunderfall Blade

Blade throws an explosive kunai that damages and slows opponents.

The attack also creates a delayed explosion capable of dealing area armor damage through walls.

This means the ability can potentially pressure enemies who attempt to avoid the initial hit by retreating behind cover.

Tactical Ability

Fenyang (Dash)

Blade performs a fast directional dash.

Knocking down an opponent immediately resets the ability's cooldown, allowing her to dash again.

This creates a movement mechanic tied directly to successful combat actions.

Passive Skill

Wall Jump

Blade can jump or bounce off vertical surfaces.

This allows her to use walls to reach elevated positions or alter her movement route during combat.

Combined with her dash, the passive provides additional mobility options in areas with buildings, ledges, and other vertical structures.

How to play Blade

Blade's abilities reward aggressive positioning and successful engagements.

Her explosive kunai can pressure enemies using cover, while her dash allows her to quickly change position.

The cooldown reset after a knockdown is particularly important. It means a successful attack can create another immediate movement opportunity.

Her wall-jump passive further increases the routes available when approaching or escaping a fight.

Blade is therefore an interesting option for players who favor fast, close-range engagements over stationary defensive play.
