Delta Force Operators and Team Roles Explained

Learn every Delta Force operator and team role, including all Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon operators and what each class does.

Delta Force Operators and Team Roles Explained

Delta Force currently has 17 operators divided between four team roles: Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. Every operator belongs to one of these positions but brings a different set of tactical gear, gadgets, and traits to the squad.

The role matters because it determines more than the abilities attached to an individual operator. Assault characters are built around mobility and frontline pressure, Engineers bring defensive and vehicle-oriented utility, Support operators keep teammates fighting, and Recon specialists gather information and help their team control the map.

Here is the current operator breakdown:

RoleOperators
AssaultD-Wolf, Nox, Tempest, Vyron
EngineerGizmo, N-Two, Shepherd, Sineva, Uluru
SupportRover, Stinger, Toxik, Vlinder
ReconHackclaw, Luna, Morse, Raptor

Liquipedia's current roster lists those 17 operators, with Rover as the latest addition during Season 11: Reorientation.

Assault Operators

D-Wolf, Nox, Tempest, Vyron

Assault operators are Delta Force's aggressive frontline specialists. The role receives faster aiming movement than the other classes and is built around closing distance, breaking defensive positions, and moving quickly from one fight to another.

The four Assault operators approach that job in very different ways.

D-Wolf

D-Wolf is a mobility-focused Assault operator built around sustained aggression. His Motorized Exoskeleton increases his movement speed, while knocking down enemies can restore HP and extend its duration. He also carries the Triple Blaster for explosive pressure and has access to a Tactical Slide.

That makes D-Wolf particularly suited to players who want to stay mobile while pushing into fights instead of holding a static position.

Nox

Nox combines aggression with stealth and disruption. Silent Assault reduces the sound he generates and interferes with enemy reconnaissance equipment, helping him approach fights without giving away as much information. His Whirlwind Disc and Breach Flashbang then provide tools for slowing, damaging, or stunning opponents during a push.

Compared with the more direct mobility of D-Wolf or Vyron, Nox is better defined by his ability to disrupt enemy information before committing to the fight.

Tempest

Tempest is built around rapid movement and escape options. Her Emergency Evasion Device creates an anchor that can pull her back to safety, while Tactical Combat Roll gives her another way to reposition quickly. Her Drill Charge can also penetrate cover and disrupt enemies behind it.

She fits the Assault role without relying entirely on raw forward momentum, giving players more options to enter a dangerous position and then disengage.

Vyron

Vyron specializes in explosive movement and close-range disruption. His Dynamic Propulsion gadget launches him in a chosen direction, while the QLL32 Crouching Tiger fires compressed-air rounds capable of knocking enemies down. A Magnetic Bomb adds another offensive tool for clearing or pressuring occupied positions.

His kit makes him one of the clearest examples of an Assault operator designed around forcing his way into contested space.

Engineer Operators

Gizmo, N-Two, Shepherd, Sineva, Uluru

Engineers fill the game's technical and defensive role. The class has access to engineering tools for interacting with battlefield infrastructure, including vehicle repair and other utility in Warfare, while individual Engineers expand that role through fortifications, explosives, crowd control, or defensive equipment. The official Delta Force description identifies Engineers as specialists capable of cutting and repairing with a welding gun.

There are currently five Engineer operators, the largest of the four position groups.

Gizmo

Gizmo is an Engineer centered on deployable technology. His kit includes the Tenacious Interception Module, or T.I.M., alongside a Patrol Hunting Spider and Smart Smoke Mine. Liquipedia also lists Defensive Vanguard as his operator trait.

Rather than relying on a single heavy defensive tool, Gizmo brings several pieces of automated equipment that can help control an area.

N-Two

N-Two is a crowd-control Engineer built around cold effects. His Frost Launcher fires freezing grenades, while the Cryo-Flask creates an area that continuously applies cold to enemies. He can also deploy a Homing Stun Grenade that seeks nearby enemy operators.

His Permafrost trait allows repeated cold effects to progressively slow opponents and eventually freeze them, making N-Two particularly focused on restricting enemy movement.

Shepherd

Shepherd specializes in sonic suppression and defensive control. Sonic Paralysis deploys a drone that suppresses enemies and reduces their rate of fire, while his Sonic Trap can damage and slow opponents that enter its trigger area.

He also receives additional protection against explosive effects through Sonic Defense, giving him a kit built around reducing the effectiveness of an enemy push.

Sineva

Sineva is the Engineer roster's heavily protected frontline option. His EOD Set improves his resistance to explosive and burn damage and gives him access to a Blast Shield. He can also use a Grapple Gun to pull enemies, downed teammates, or gear crates and deploy Razor Wire to damage and slow opponents moving through an area.

The shield can remain on his back when it isn't actively equipped, giving Sineva additional protection while performing other actions.

Uluru

Uluru combines fortification with explosive area pressure. Quickset Cover creates a concrete barrier that can provide immediate protection, while Composite Incendiary can set an area on fire. His Loitering Munition gives him a guided explosive option that splits into multiple bombs on impact.

That combination lets Uluru create cover for his own team while also attacking enemies using theirs.

Support Operators

Rover, Stinger, Toxik, Vlinder

Delta Force Support operators Rover, Stinger, Toxik, and Vlinder

Support operators are responsible for keeping a squad operational. The role revolves around healing, reviving, protection, buffs, and other utility that helps teammates survive or recover during a fight.

Delta Force's Support operators don't all function as conventional medics, however. The current roster includes direct healing specialists alongside operators that improve team performance or combine support tools with enemy disruption.

Rover

Rover is a Support operator who fights alongside his military dog, Clover. His Man's Best Friend ability calls Clover into battle, where the dog can locate nearby enemies, chase them, deal damage, and mark them for Rover's team.

Rover also carries a Dart Rifle whose syringes create a lingering mist that heals allied limb damage while damaging and reducing the maximum HP of enemies in the affected area. An Irritant grenade gives him an additional way to disrupt occupied positions.

Stinger

Stinger is the roster's traditional combat medic. His Hive-Tech Pistol can lock onto allies and restore their health, while his smoke equipment lets him obscure sightlines and create safer conditions for healing or reviving teammates.

His Expertly Rescue trait further improves his ability to recover downed squadmates, making Stinger the most straightforward choice for players who want their operator kit centered on direct medical support.

Toxik

Toxik approaches Support through buffs and enemy debuffs. Adreno-Boost deploys a UAV that improves allied Handling and reduces Hit Flinch, while the Dragonfly Swarm System can buff teammates caught along its path and interfere with enemies at the same time.

Her Blinding Gas adds crowd control, so Toxik's contribution is less about continuously healing one player and more about changing the conditions of a team fight.

Vlinder

Vlinder uses medical UAVs to support teammates from a distance. Her Flutter Rescue UAVs assist with recovering downed squadmates, while Med Drones track allies and heal players within their area. She also carries a steerable Windmill Smoke Grenade.

Her kit makes healing and rescue possible without requiring Vlinder to stand directly beside every injured teammate.

Recon Operators

Hackclaw, Luna, Morse, Raptor

Delta Force Recon operators Hackclaw, Luna, Morse, and Raptor

Recon operators provide information. Their abilities can locate enemies, reveal movement, track targets, disrupt electronics, and help the squad understand what is happening beyond its immediate line of sight.

That information can be just as important as damage. Knowing where an enemy squad is moving can help an Assault operator choose when to push, an Engineer prepare a defensive position, or a Support player avoid walking into an exposed revive.

Hackclaw

Hackclaw specializes in detecting electronic signals. Her Signal Decoder scans for enemy signals and displays their movement, while her Flash Drone can follow those detected paths and blind opponents. The Data Knife can disable nearby electronic devices and deal significant damage on a direct hit.

Silent Step also improves her movement while crouching or moving stealthily, helping her gather information without generating as much noise.

Luna

Luna gathers information using her bow. Detection Arrow exposes enemies and leaves sensors along its trajectory that can identify moving targets. Enemies damaged by Luna are also briefly marked through Hunter's Mark.

Her Volt Arrow provides a damage option, giving Luna a way to contribute directly after locating a target.

Morse

Morse is an area-intelligence Recon operator. His Advanced Sonar Device periodically scans a designated area, reports how many enemies are inside it, and can precisely mark opponents who make noise.

A Throwable Jammer disrupts enemies by affecting movement, vision, turning, hearing, and sound generation, while Sonic Sitrep allows Morse to identify nearby enemy devices.

Raptor

Raptor uses cameras, drones, and electronic disruption to track targets. Wing Cam can attach surveillance equipment to an enemy and periodically reveal their location, while Silver Wing provides a controllable drone capable of marking opponents.

His EMP Grenade can disable enemy electronics and destroy electronic class gadgets, giving Raptor both reconnaissance and counter-utility tools.

Which Delta Force role should you play?

The easiest way to choose an operator is to start with the job you want to perform for your squad rather than picking purely by appearance.

Choose Assault if you want mobility and direct involvement in pushes. Pick Engineer if you prefer controlling positions, using specialized equipment, or interacting with vehicles and defenses. Support suits players who want to heal, revive, buff, or otherwise keep teammates fighting, while Recon is built for gathering information and helping the squad locate threats.

The operator then determines how you perform that job. D-Wolf and Nox are both Assault operators, for example, but one emphasizes rapid movement while the other uses stealth and disruption. Stinger and Rover are both Support operators, yet their kits approach team support very differently.

That distinction is the core of Delta Force's operator system: the role defines your broad responsibility, while the individual operator determines the tools you use to perform it.
